Kena Bridge Of Spirits Fishing Shrine Puzzle And Location Guide

Restoring the environmental beauty of the land in Kena: Bridge of Spirits requires players to solve several environmental riddles scattered throughout the realm. Among these challenges, the Fishing Shrine in the Forgotten Forest area stands out because it relies on observational clues rather than direct combat strength. Understanding where to locate this shrine and how to decipher its hidden candle pattern ensures a smooth playthrough without triggering unnecessary enemy spawns.
Locating the Fishing Shrine in the Forgotten Forest
The Fishing Shrine is situated on a small landmass surrounded by water in the eastern section of the Forgotten Forest. Players usually come across this location while completing the main quest objective titled Taro's Love. Approaching the central island reveals a corrupted bulb that must be cleansed to restore the altar.
Surrounding the island are four stone pillars containing blue crystals that interact with your Spirit Bow. Striking these crystals in an incorrect sequence summons hostile flying pests that reset your progress. Identifying the surrounding environment early helps you position Kena effectively before attempting the puzzle.
Deciphering the Candle Clues and Pillar Order
To solve the puzzle, stand directly in front of the Fishing Shrine base and examine the candle groupings placed nearby. You will spot four distinct clusters containing one, two, three, and four candles. These candle counts represent the precise sequence required to activate the four surrounding stone pillars.
Each candle set corresponds directly to a specific pillar position around the water's edge. Shooting the crystals in ascending order from one candle to four candles unlocks the deadzone heart safely. The correct sequence requires targeting the front-right pillar first, followed by the back-left pillar, the back-right pillar, and finally the front-left pillar.
Cleansing the Shrine and Claiming Rewards
Once all four crystals are hit in the proper order, the corrupted deadzone heart opens immediately. Command your Rot companions to target the exposed core and use a shield pulse or bow shot to purify the shrine. Restoring the altar cleanses the surrounding waters and advances your progress toward opening the Guardian Tree.
Clearing this shrine rewards players with vital story progression, Spirit Mail opportunities, and valuable Rot collectibles nearby. Taking time to observe subtle environmental details makes navigating future puzzles throughout the game far more intuitive.
